Hofke van Bazel is a michelin star restaurant based on the shores of the Schelde. The polder land ensures that this restaurant has maximum expression. Chef Sylvester Schatteman is happy to make use of this by incorporating home-grown vegetables in his dishes. 't Hofke van Bazel has been known for years for its refined vegetarian cuisine. In 2017, the star restaurant was voted best vegetable restaurant in the Benelux.

Dirkjan Decock from Taste and Colours only uses traditionally grown vegetables from local suppliers, supplemented with 70 kinds of herbs and edible flowers from his garden. Gault Millau awarded him the Best Fruit and Vegetables Communication Award 2015.
